You know I’m a former Seattle girl, yes? And while I’m now an Indiana girl, I still miss the Pacific Northwest – the mountains, the food scene, friends and family who still live there and yes, even the weather . . . okay, only sometimes the weather – because when the crystal-blue skies of summer appear, it’s glorious indeed.

I was born in Seattle and raised in Walla Walla and then spent many of my adult years in Olympia but I’d never managed to visit Vashon until almost two years ago – and in that moment, The Professor and I were instantly smitten.

I think with a view like this, I’d be on those stationary bikes too . . .

If you haven’t seen Vashon, it’s worth a trip, I promise.

Happy Sunday!

  1. Lovely and peaceful. I’m biased myself to the PNW as a resident of Orcas Island. Originally from FL and out west for the last 22 years, I can’t imagine being anywhere else. Happy Sunday.

  2. Beautiful photographs. Easy to see why you miss this scenic place. I love the shot of the stationary bikes along the water’s edge. What an awesome place to exercise!
