KEY LIME POPPY SEED DRESSING

Making salad dressing at home couldn’t be simpler; take a peek at this super short video (less than 2 minutes) for the Key-Lime Poppy Seed Dressing we made for this salad – the key lime compliments the yogurt nicely while balancing the sweetness of the beautiful summer fruit we’re all enjoying . . . berries, melon, mango – with or without greens – toss and you’re good to go . . . No fancy jar with a hinged lid is required . . . any jar or container with a lid will do; by the way, the entire recipe for the dressing is listed at the end of the video – Enjoy!

  1. I love making my own salad dressings – so much healthier! I couldn’t watch the video which I’m assuming is a problem on my end. But it’s on my list of things to do – can’t wait to watch it (and then make that recipe myself)…soon!

  2. Very simple, good recipe!

  5. I love sweet salad dressings for summer and this looks luscious! Mmmm over fruit for lunch… or dessert?

  6. Homemade dressing, mayo, sauces really are the best. No doubt about it at all. This dressing is so fun! Original idea too.

  7. Cute video, Debra! I love the music AND the writing as you go along. Very clever.
    And a delicious dressing too!

  8. Amazing job with the video! The music, the way the instructions are handwritten on the screen as you go – beautiful!

  9. Homemade is the best way to go hands down. I usually make an olive oil & balsamic dressing but this looks divine! I need a change!

  10. Wow, I have never thought to use key limes in a dressing… in fact I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a key lime. Where did you get yours? I do LOVE citrus in dressings though, rather than vinegar all the time.

    • Georgia ~ we don’t get many key limes here in the midwest, so i use bottled key lime juice – it’s a bit expensive at nearly $4/bottle BUT i typically only use it in dressings like this one (although i’ve been known to sneak in a key lime pie every now and again!)

  11. Oh yum!! This looks so light and refreshing…perfect for summer. The video is fantastic 🙂 As an amazing cook, what do you think of my bacon-blue cheese sliders!?!
