Happy Memorial Day everyone!

The Professor’s family is all here not only to kick off the summer season, but we’re also celebrating the High School graduation of our nephew Taylor, niece Avery’s birthday and of course the Indy 500 race . . . and ‘Big D’ (The Professor’s dad’s nickname) is in his glory; every year Big D puts the names of all the drivers into a pot and we each draw a name to cheer for . . . because whoever wins the race, wins the pot . . . a whopping $5!!! Hey, that’ll buy an ice cream!!

The important thing here is that we all get together, we eat, we play bocce ball and corn hole, we laugh, we are always amazed at how much older the kids are (and how much younger we are) . . . and we make stories; stories that we’ll tell next year and the year after and the year after that. Those stories are important because they’re what bind us, what connects us and those stories and happy memories are also what keeps us coming back year after year . . . well that and the food . . .

I hope you have the opportunity to make memories this weekend . . . and you eat lots of great food!!

See you this next week!
