Marly August 26, 2010 at 12:33 pm: I’m so happy for you (said through gritted teeth). You know me and my dilemma with squirrels. We have a pear tree too and it produces hundreds of pears. Just about the first of July you can stand under that pear tree and there is a shower of pear bits…from the squirrels shredding them to get to the seeds. But I have somehow managed to preserve 3 pears. I’m hoping that me, my hubby, and my daughter get to eat those sometime in the next few weeks.

Your pears look lovely and I am truly happy for you (no teeth gritting at all).
